An old favorite that is under new management. Hadn't been in quite a while and went for a birthday dinner last weekend. Tony and crew were great and food was excellent. We had a great time and will definitely return. Love the location, cozy atmosphere/size of the restaurant though can be a bit noisy when the place is hopping. All the best for continued success!
This is a hidden gem in the midst of Glenwood South. The food was delicious and the hostess and wait staff were appropriately engaging. I will definitely return!
Great atmosphere in a great location with great food! Perfect for groups or date night,
Amazing service. However the workers look overheated. I suggest cooling system behind the bar? No one wants their bfast served with sweat.
One of my favorite places downtown for drinks! Quaint, unique and cozy..
INCREDIBLE!! I was there Friday and sat on the deck and enjoyed a lovely skyline view. The service was remarkable. We had Nick as a waiter and an incredible female bartender too. She brought us samples of wines and beers and was very personable. I was with my mom and dad and trying to show them Raleigh. We were treated like royalty. Thank you for such an enjoyable night.
A menu of goodness, waitstaff that are friendly and helpful, and a view of a hip area of Raleigh tie together like Lebowski's rug to one of the finest eateries in town, lunch dinner or Sunday Brunch you can't go wrong. They serve delicious and unusual beers and cocktails along with sea food choices that'll make you think you're on the coast. Plus details are taken care of, the musical choices are always interesting, as well as the interesting artwork hanging on the rustic interior. Also, check out their tiny but very fun back porch!
We were in Raleigh for a wedding and the Rockport came highly recommended. We were not disappointed. Had their crab cakes and poboy sandwich. Both were fabulous. The crab cakes are advertised as a small plate so as a heads up order the delicious fries to go with it. The owner stopped by our table to chat and couldn't have made us feel more welcome.
We went to the Rockford for dinner, met our niece, nephew and their spouses! From the moment we arrived we were waited on by Matt! What a gem this young man is! We learned of his creations and were treated like royalty! His special drinks were amazing! We then went to our table and ordered the best food we've had, (we live in Miami, Florida, and have great restaurants)! Howard the Chef prepared culinary masterpieces! The shrimp and grits were the best, creamy, full of flavor, big shrimps, amazing! The Mac Cheese were creamy, high quality, gourmet, the best ever! I tasted a little of everything on the table. The crab cakes were Crab Cakes, succulent sweet crabmeat, full of flavor, fish tacos, were over the top! My compliments to Howard the chef, he is amazing! We will have to return!!!
